hi njtay, welcome to the club :)

midlanderists are legendary for their club rides - i'd use the word 'organised' if they did ;)

i'm sure you'll find some people who are up for a run/ride round your way, even if it is just to check over the their new bike or fit from bridgtown!

Welcome aboard.

To be fair to the midlands massive they do actually do quite a bit together. It just takes a bit of time to get there.

What are your race plans this year ?
One who wants to do something, will find a way.
One who doesn't, will find an excuse.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies. Well since last years outlaw I haven't done any training and I have piled on the weight.

I was hoping to train this year and start 2014 on a better base fitness but getting itchy feet and want to race NOW. Did a 10k run last week and clocked a time of 54 minutes compared to my previous 45 min.

I fancy the look of the Cotswold 113 which is in August, just need to see if I can get race fit in 7 weeks and shift 2 stone

If you discover a way of shifting a couple of stone please let me know. :D (unless it involves drinking less beer or eating less cake)

For rides around the Cannock area look at the Bridgtown FB page .

Jay or Lynne taylor often lead summer rides from the shop

I'm all for the piss-taking and as I haven't ridden a bike let alone raced for nearly 12 months I am the number one target for pee taking.

So talk to me about membership to this looney asylum and where can I get hold of the club kit which looks damn fine? Do I need to post some times before being allowed in?

if you post times they had better be slow ones, there are some very jealous types here

membership link (it says renewals but the process should work for new members)

if you want black/silver kit then you might have to wait a couple of months for the net order (one has just gone in). if you want yellow (and not that biased and trying to get everyone to buy yellow kit so i can have some) then you might be able to order much sooner. we need 10 of each colour for an order, see. shadowone1 manages the thankless kit organising and is the keeper of the champ systems complicated spreadsheets.
