Cheers Jimba,
Happy with the progress at the moment, I have a rough idea as to where I want to be at various points between now and June and how to achieve my target.

Great to hear that your nephew is embarking on a career in 'the business', it is truly rewarding and I am sure he will thoroughly enjoy it, if he has any questions that he wants to ask, but doesn't want to ask his tutors or colleagues, just drop us a PM and I will see if I can answer them, no worries.

Possibility of updating the status from 'rotten' to 'mouldy'.
A reasonable week of intermittent training, a couple of decent bike rides one of which was race distance, and a run the following day of 10km with tired legs but without ill effect, so pleasantly pleased with that.

I must admit that the run did take place during a thunderstorm when the pillars of the heavens were shaking and the maelstrom of of hailstorm was raining down. My route would have taken a short cut along a cycle track, but as I approached the way was blocked by a number of police vehicles. Mrs J would later tell me that a dog walker or more likely the dog had retrieved a ' lower limb ', let's call it a foot, from adjacent to the path, obviously a common sight in Grimsby, lost mitten, misplaced glove, pair of clackers, a foot by footpaths then. So the search teams were looking for other parts to get a matching set.
So my run was slightly extended due to to the misplacement of body parts.

Upto speed and distance with the swim, Distance on the bike, so a few short rides to increase the speed, and getting there on the run,

Maybe I can upgrade from mouldy to slightly mildewy next.

That’s good to hear, maybe by race day you can aspire to “stale and a bit crusty round the edges”

I must confess found body parts has never been an interference on any of my outings........actually the dog has found numerous corpses (bird, rabbit, deer) and decided to chomp them until I get to him (usually middle of field) and drag him away. :D

If I don't lose some weight, it will be more 'Stuffed Crust', than stale and crusty!
But, it is going in the right direction, I am pleased to note, down 8lbs since last month, if I can get under 16 stone I will be pleased, weight loss without performance reduction in the short time before the race would be ideal.

Not sure!
Just need to lose the belly so I can see what's below!

It could be the reason for my slow run constantly going round in circles !!!

Four weeks to go, and just slightly behind the drag curve, nothing unusual there though.
Managed to do a bit of training whilst on holiday for a week. Chose to do, little and often, rather than burn my legs out on the hills and heat.
So hopefully a couple of decent bike rides, a few runs, happy with the swim at the moment, I don't train in open water as there is very little in Lincolnshire, unless I go to the Humber and risk getting hit by a supertanker or car ferry!,

The bike course should be suitable for me, with limited climbing, just undulating.
