west suffolk tri - 25.09.16

Postby ris » 23 Sep 2016 23:05

back to my old stamping ground for their season-closing sprinty-sprint tri.

organised by the local cycling club - west suffolk wheelers - this is a 300m, 18km, 5km sprint starting out in stowmarket.

late entry, very undertrained (been on one run in about 3months), i have issues with my hip-flexors that is giving me a tight back (still) and it's a bloody long way away.

give it my best shot. i know that i won't be as quick as i'd probably like, but that's not why i do this.

1:01:46 I think it is. Decidedly unflat bike that concluded with a pnucture about 500m from the end and a very traily / grassy run. Hard work - I'm a bit undertrained and it shows. Nice to finish the season with a small,local-type event.

i hope so - it has sold out every year, but the organisers at WSW have said they are stepping back from it so someone else in the club will have to step up for it to happen. mid-suffolk massive return would be good, though! and i'll bring my best non-puncturing tyres this time!

I'll have to remember how to not sink again by then though, and what a bike looks like. Hopefully the cutoff will be around 5 hours! [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]
