Why not? You can pretty much fulfill the entry criteria without even entering any special races.

I've just signed up to a couple of events for next year:

17/01/2015: Aspire Aquathlon Series Race 3 - 500m swim, 5k run

24/04/2015: Aspire Aquathlon Series Race 4 - 500m swim, 5k run (should be getting rather toasty again by then!)

The rest of the season is going to take some carefuly There aren't many opportunities for a sea swim triathlon in this country! I'll probably need to buy a bike at some point too. Then ride it on these roads, in this traffic... :o
