Extra long valve rather than extender?

A lot of tubs seem not to have 80mm + valves !

Still - that means shopping - hurrah

They come with a small tool to remove the valve core, screw in extender, remembering the PTFE tape, then re screw the core back into the extension. Simples.

The vittorias I got have removable valves. I just put a long valve on them. No leaks.

+1 on Teflon tape, works a treat for this kind of things. You can pick it up at b&q.

The vittorias are super easy with extenders. Take valve off, put 40mm extender on, put valve on top of extender. No need to remove valve cores or anything.

Taking the core out of a valve is like unscrewing the dust cap. Those conti ones are the nutts.

I take the core out of a any spare that I carry, so 1 less thing to worry about.

+2 for PTFE Tape, I had the same issue on my Conte tyres and Zipp extenders. Slapped a bit of tape on the existing valve, screwed on the Extender and no more leakage (go Kev.)
