How long does a turbo last?

Post your questions about bike maintenance, bike problems, kit issues, goggle issues – anything to do with the kit you have which isn’t quite going to plan and you’re looking for an answer why.

One minor question. Who spends most time in the "man shed" now? And should it not be renamed?

It's not me!
And I only get to use upstairs, with complaints about the volume of mud I bring in. Perhaps we should sell the house and move in fully (kids could live in a tent or in their playhouse) - would free up all sorts of funds for new toys !

I've killed two in about 5 yrs. The first died of bearing failure, the second was sent back to wiggle after the (mag?) resistance failed. My current also has failed resistance but functioning without it so it's still locked away in the cave and being tortured regularly. What goes around comes around and all that.
No? Tough. We're doing it.

Good idea - contacted them, and they said it should be under warranty - but that I need to preferably go through my original dealer. Have contacted Wiggle, who the BAT bought the turbo from as my birthday present back in 2009 (!) - and hoping that it may get fixed so that I can eBay it off & offset the cash against my new one (which is really nice and much smoother...)
Happy to help, hope it works out for you :-)
