as i understand it ben, all you need to do to fix this is to take a hacksaw to the frame, somewhere near the bottom bracket area, and move it rapidly back and forth until there is a noticable parting of the frame

Ewan is bang on. I'm guessing its a similar issue to first gen SC - I had mine for 3 months before I got to ride it - You need to use a torque wrench to tighten that bolt otherwise it will slip. When you tighten it with a torque wrench then it shouldn't slip at all. There should be a guide to take it to the max Nm - I think my SC7 is up to 7Nm on the seat post, I'd need to check

I think you can go upto 14Nm on that seat post iirc.

are you looking forward to the sc7 having a slipping seatpost, ade? i think if it does then bop might laugh up a kidney.

Tritans does seem to be doing a lot of research into the matter.

I just wish he would get a road bike sorted.

Hasn't he told you? He's planning to get through Hell of the Worth on a TT bike with an oversized crankset and a 12-23 cassette. ;-)
