Fitting a cateye

Postby Bendy Ben » 14 Oct 2013 14:47

Hey guys

I have finally got round re re fitting my strada wireless to my road bike after fitting new bars.

Problem : the intergrated bars are larger than the head unit bracket.
I want to mount the unit on the stem - here's the question - can I glue it to the naked carbon ?

What glue would be best and I'd like it to be removable if required ( and to be able to clean the carbon clean afterwards

Thoughts & advice please

 Good one, you almost got me there  That's a joke right?? Please tell me it's a joke

The only adhesive I can think of that is removable from carbon is blue tak.

Go with what Jon suggests. Or get one of these and you can mount a light too:

That's what's I've got Jon and Jibbs but the bars are oversized and their shape doesn't allow me to mount that.

Maybe I'm being a bit stupid here, but that Ness thingy replaces a spacer then projects forwards along your stem, making a T shape above your bars? So, it will aloow you to mount computers and lights but it is in the way of your bar tops?

Surely something forwards of the stem would be better.

Or cable ties?
I had fun once. It was awful.
