Your face is warm the goggles are cold
Dunk your face in water without goggles to cool your face for a minute or two. Then the spit trick, swoosh goggles through water & on

I use this stuff, re-apply it after every few swims, and don't fog up at all

Thanks all - a couple of options there that I haven't tried yet...
Interestingly, I did have some success today in the icy waters of Guildford lido... by using a very old (circa 2009) pair of goggles - had forgotten my swimming toy bag, but luckily found emergency spare pair at the bottom of my kit bag (presumably where they have been lurking for some years) - didn't fog up - just leaked terribly in one eye (presumably all the incoming water prevented fogging). Can't win! :lol:
