This was one of my reasons for deciding I needed race wheels with ally rims. And they're lighter than the carbon rims I could've afforded/justified as I also wanted clinchers. And I wanted them not to snap. And I like having brakes.

When I am good enough to justify a TT bike and tubs on carbon rims, then I'll put up with the grief of changing pads. This will probably be never.

Until then, ally all the way. 8-)

Until I get a bonus and go a bit dizzy on something I really don't need, of course.... :lol:
I had fun once. It was awful.

Just change the pads on the front and remember not to touch the rear brakes. Quicker and no one ever uses the rear brake anyway.

reynolds blue pads fellas you dont need to worry about no brakes if they stop 115kg at over 40 mph as good as alloy i'm sure the rest of you will be fine.
Now you just need all carbon wheels for each eventuality :D
