Still need to engineer it into a working bike again...

Not sure I am liking the look of the bling gold chain I put on either... still, will have worn that out by this time next year...

Perhaps CCS and flavadave should go into business together. But then again, maybe not ;)

As Ralph Machio tells C.Thomas Howell in The Outsiders , " Stay Gold Ponyboy, stay Gold "

A couple of rides the chain will be oiled up and black anyway.

Depends how thick your line is, normally just something like a prusik knot or a clove hitch. But I always overwrap with tape. With a halyard though you tend to sew the mousing line on!

Don't go and play with the High & Low limit screws now. Changing cables should just involve adjust the tension of it unless something has gone drastically wrong.

If you did, you might just have built yourself an expensive single speed.

So, I am not only a bike maintenance numpty... it would appear that I am also an unfit mother... after messing around the bike, thought I should take it out for a test drive to make sure nothing falls off... just as I was leaving, noticed that I was actually meant to be in Guildford collecting eldest child, having picked up youngest on the way...
Still... only 40 mins late... In my defence, I am sure it is not usually that light at 5:30pm...
