I'm very surprised by that statement. Surely a bottle between bars would keep your hydration levels up, or do you find staying in the same bar is more productive?

I think that's the least of your worries at the moment ;)

There now follows a temporary interruption with normal Kevvy service; would the extra drag really be noticeable for an amateur exerciserist? Surely the benefits of having extra fluids or somewhere to stick your tools outweigh the increase in drag?

Just to remind you:

Yip, I'm not about speedy, I'm all about the practical. Imagine I'm looking for the big pants/corset solution rather than the quarter-cup bodice with stocking suspenders.

Just looking for ideas that work while I'm grinding away in my preferred position (fnarr) which is aero, while still keeping hydrated and covering my arse for emergencies.

This discussion has more questions than answers... keep it going, I've not found the ideal solution yet.

What about those frames that hold a reservoir inside? You could convert you current frame, I know you're comfortable using tools on carbon frames now. Drill a small hole in the top tube, big enough for a long straw. Fill up before hand using a funnel. Bottle less is the future.

Having had my curiosity piqued by this thread, my need for increased hydration with longer rides planned ;) and with even warmer weather appearing on The Riviera, my intense research on the interweb has led me to invest in this cage mount at £16.99, and two of these cages at £4.99 each. Please don't ask as to how I happened upon this site...and before you say it, I wasn't googling for fat birds in cages. Honest
