Probably worth having one of the counting events as a multisport event to avoid skewing it towards "specialists"? Even if it's a duathlon, aqua-run, whatever...

Good idea - not an OW Tri necessarily, but a multisport one, of any sort.

Does that mean we should be expecting a comeback....? ;)

Pick your events carefully! I did the Anglian water standard duathlon last year and here were 37 competitors, can't remember where I came but 14/15th? This year it was an ETU qualifier and there were 170 entrants. I didn't do it but with last year's time I would have been around 95th!
