Just been told I'm reserve number 2 for this weekend's 50, so looks promising I'll get a ride.

Should be an interesting experience! At least the weather forecast is looking good.

:D and :( all at once.
Enjoy - I found 50, even on a miserable day, wasn't as bad as I was expecting (and I seldom ride that far...). Good luck!

Sorry CCS ;) Although I've got to get a ride first... Start sheets are apparently due today, which will hopefully confirm 2nd reserve place, and prompt some DNSs!

About 35 miles of it is downhill or flat, so that should help with the enjoyment. Just a shame about the 6 mile long 'mountain', right at the end! This is the course - http://www.strava.com/activities/85524555.

Going to be a nail biting finish to the bar. Although all you have to is finish.... So getting a start is the real challenge.

2:53 required to steal it from CCS

Let's face it... 2:53 is a bit achievable!

I have started worrying about punctures... think I may replace my rear tire for the remaining 2 races, and for this one, carry puncture stuff. Although if the front tub goes, that's probably the end of it.

No start sheet as yet though, so it's all moot at the moment.
