Will be a last minute decision from me folks. I've been off training for a week now, trying to shake off a stupid cough I got surfing in Devon two weeks ago. To no avail. Time in France will tell if I'm fit enough to join you guys.

Nothing, mate. You'll be fine. Try to travel very light, though, to avoid stressing the frame beyond the already substantial loading: I'd suggest taking just half a bag of jelly babies and a sun-baked miniature pork pie as your nutrition. No problems.

Do you preserve any components? Like the saddle?

Yes. I kept the sticky out thing that I put my Garmin on.
