I have just entered this in lieu of the postponed New Forest Sportive

Epic 127 miles.

Anyone ?

Well you are going to need to be there for a bloody long time !

Anyway this is in Newbury, West Berkshire which is virtually in WILTSHIRE. Would be perfect for anyone doing an Ironman in mid August !!!!

Oh FFS, Ade. We swop an 86 mile ride (the longest I'd have ever done) for a 127 mile ride. And it includes some of the same hills... going UP the fast blast I usually head down between The Milbury's pub and Beauworth and also going up Winchester Hill via Hayden Lane... my newest nemesis climb.

I really hope there is something else in my diary for that weekend. You are such a cock.
I had fun once. It was awful.

Come to think of it, I think this be my longest ride. But 1200m of climbing over 200km really isn't that bad and there doesn't look to be any real nasties.

I'm really not interested in times. I just want to get miles under my belt. It wont be your legs that give up it'll be your Alberts, shoulders or neck that will be the issue.

Anyway lots of cake stops, a bail out option, all is good.

From their own website :

In it's 8 year history, the Wiggle MagnifiCat has established itself as a truly classic challenge bringing together, the rolling Hampshire countryside, classic climbs and the South Downs into a formidable challenge. The longest route 'The MagnifiCat' is 200km long and there are a total of nine major hills and 2800m of climbing.
