Man up Manders. Think of the bragging rights once you are done.

It's only 9 shortish climbs.

Sfuller did a fair bit of the route with me in September, and gingertri has also done a bit.

And Jon.e did an even more savage route in 2010 and lived.

Every climb has been ridden. (admittedly some by mountain bikes)

If it was easy it wouldn't be fun. We'll be taking things steady on the flat bit.

I've just been comparing the gradients to some of the 'steep' slopes round here.

*jibber*

In other news had my first event related cluster - realised that I'm without my car that weekend. Thankfully Burnish Limo Services Ltd have come to the rescue. Just need to get WAT approval now.

Looking at the gradients, surely it's more of a case of taking it 'steady' up the hills!!!

I don't think we have cobbles here in the south... I would slightly worry that they might cause all my DIY bike maintenance to be shaken off the frame (especially given the fact that my saddle frequently works itself loose anyway...)

Still pondering... on one hand, loads of vacant QOMs, and the fact that I happen to be passing through Yorkshire anyway that day; on the other hand, family to deal with, plus the fact that those ups go way more up that anything around here!!!

Oh go on, go on, go on, you know you want to mark your QOM mark.
Plenty of things for the family to do, whilst you have a bit of " me " time, just a couple of hours, then a family pub lunch, they could do a train ride and see where the Railway children were filmed, that's enjoyable, and educational.
Just a couple of hours, and the novelty value of cobbles and laughing at us Northeners, :D

Why do you come up for the weekend, Kev? You might surprise yourself.

So it does....brain not what it used to be...
...but anyway, that is only ever ascended while conducting retail therapy (and having cycled 5km home on Wed carrying a large bag of borrowed kids' ski thermals dangling from the drops, I would never take a bike shopping)!
