London Marathon

Postby Jonhinio » 10 Feb 2010 18:16

Anyone else here doing this? This will be my second one. Jogged round in 2008. Am aiming for a better time this year. It will form part of my Ironman training as well. Wondering if I should cycle to the start from Windsor as a brick session. Hmm....?

Good luck for London. I didn't get in this year so am doing one in May in Riga instead. Yes I am crazy!

I'll let you know. I've been told it is flat like London and it's not that big a race so good PB potential, although a two lap course. My grandad was from there so thought it was a great chance to visit the place and also to indulge in my love of running. :D

How is it from Windsor to the start of London is you bike? My geography is rubbish :(

Flat is definitely good. I like the idea of the Prague Marathon. It's a lovely city.

Probably 30 miles :D

That would be a good brick then wouldn't it, not that I really know about these things being a newbie :D Right now I can't even imagine doing anything and then running a marathon, but maybe some day!

Flat is definitely good. I like flat!

I'll be along the course cheering people on - about 6k i think (just as you start go back into Greenwich) and then later on the Isle of dogs at about the 17 mile mark i think (by cros harbour DLR and the Pub there) so if i spot you I'll give a shout and that - but given the numbers it may be difficult...oh GOD! :o This will be the first year i do it without drinking... how will I cope?
