I fear you're right. It's probably not that bad when dawdling at my long distance pace but a whole other ball game when trying to go fast. I just remember being very cold for the first lap or so and having hands that couldn't break or change gear properly
It was also after a season of doing far too much and I was very feeling very tired. Only thing I expect to be faster at this time round is the swim.
