Oh, THOSE lumps. I was barely counting those.

Bugger.

You'll no doubt be delighted to know that at Eastleigh 10k tomorrow I will be at the heaviest I have EVER raced at. At 92kg I am now officially a swing-belly.

To further add to my misery: Clump, of this parish, said yesterday at Eastleigh 10k "You didn't think Southampton was FLAT, did you? I thought you lived there?" He then went on to explain that he'd considered doing it, but sacked it off for something flatter.

Finally, I got a telling off for my inconsistent training. It's nice to see that somebody has noticed that I seem to get the year off to a good start at Stubbington, promise I will achieve great things at Eastleigh, then fail to do any proper training and feck it all up with the promise that I'll do better next year.

I've got five weeks to prove Clump wrong. Or at least make him not tell me off again. :D

Maybe I should start a training log...

Stars didn't align. Managed to run 3 times between Eastleigh 10k and the date of the HIM, total of 15km. Working till beyond midnight most nights means no chances to exercise in evenings, too tired in morning, most lunch breaks taken up with meetings. Weekends re-prioritised to family stuff as there are some health issues. And all of this also means my diet is awful and I'm drinking too much. Again.

I could likely have survived a HIM, but it would have been disappointing and probably injurious. And I didn't feel like it.
