Bit will is right, you ride up them, ride down them.

This route is mainly picked for the spectacular views. And some stunning descents, and exhilarating climbs.

It looks tempting. Based on a) the pace of previous years and b) knackered legs from the day before, guess it'll be around 2+ hours? And I'll bet there's not much appetite for a 7am start?

I would be game for that. Got to head down to London later in the day.

But yes, at 10 mph it would be about 2 hours.

Play it by ear for me then, I think. I couldn't afford to start much later than 7am, and it'll be 6am as far as my body's concerned, with the clocks changing. I'll bring a spare set of kit and we'll see how it goes. And how much Timothy Taylors is consumed the night before

What time are you planning to leave for? Not sure what time the hotel serves breakfast from, but can't imagine it'll be before 7, especially on a Sunday.
