The fall and rise of David Millar.
I was impressed. A good if not gripping read, this provides a real insight into the world of cycling. It gives the other side of the coin, life from a dopers perspective, highlighting the preasures riders are subjected to and how hard it is / was to race clean.
He comes clean, doesn't look for sympathy and tbh has made me a little more sympathetic (both to him and other cheats) but not a lot. Could maybe have given a bit more detail about the races themselves, but there was enough in there to keep you interested.
I've taken him at face value, but there remains nagging doubts about how he was actually caught, and he motives for becoming a "clean ambasador" but then I am a cynical old git.
Worth a read.
