My Garmin

Postby Tritans » 10 Nov 2015 10:57

Has thrown some sort of hissey fit.

I'm assuming it's some kind of protest at the sudden increase in Swimming and Running, at the expense of what it has become accustomed to, cycling.

So, every run has an elevation gain of over 7000m which as you will know is more elevation than you will find in the whole county let alone Bracknell Parkrun.

Also I have had 2 timing discrepancies. Great South run, Garmin time was 3mins 30secs adrift and Saturdays Parkrun was 45 seconds out. I can't think of how this is possible.

Any ideas welcomed.

What model? Is the software up to date?
I had fun once. It was awful.

i'm glad you provided that link, jack. best not to type 'hole cleaning' into the internet.

kevy may have advice about it though.

have you tried soft / hard reset? when my garmin's have gone mad (maybe couple of times a year with the 405) then a hard reset seems to sort it. it does misreport elevation a bit in general use, thought, although never enough to put me close to the top of k2.

I'm not sure about that. I think I preferred it when some bright spark would suggest hopping on one leg, naked on top of the highest hill around, whilst waving the garmin in an anti clockwise direction.
