Hill Climbs - Five minutes to destruction

Here are some great photos from last weekend's National Hill Climb Championship.

Struggling to think of any other sport that allows for such complete self destruction in about 5 minutes.

Agreed - short track events might be the closest.

Qualifying for the National HC has made its way into my 2016 target list since the weekend.

Those are good photos, very atmospheric. I notice the majority of entrants appear to be wafer thin...

It was the national champs - but it's all about w/kg. (winner getting up to 10).

The national champs selects the fastest (on paper) of the entrants.

But they are all dieting insanely prior to the event.

The winner was 10kg lighter than back when he won the national champs 10 TT

You get slightly less thin people at less selective events.
