My dispute with those Monkeys finally ended yesterday.

It took all of my 30 odd years of experience within the Bear pit of the Roofing Industry to get a satisfactory outcome.

As I did eventually get a refund, I'll refrain from doing a hatchet job on them. Although I'm pretty sure you can guess how it went.

Good man. Once I've settled on choice of chain ring for next year I'll possibly be selling my Vectors and doing the same.

Do you envisage swapping it between bikes? Bit of a faff, surely.

Or keep the vectors for the road bike(s)?

It would be a case of selling the Vectors, and then buying a Quarq and it would stay fitted to the race bike, with _maybe_ something for the roadbike at a later point. For not much more money than I paid for the Vectors I could have had 2 Quarqs, which in hindsight is what I wish I'd done. There's nothing wrong with the Vectors (mine, and in general) per-se, they just don't provide VFM compared with some of the other reliable/consistent/accurate options that are available, and Garmin CS is pants.

With any luck I'll find a non Garmin head unit that does what I need as well, but that's a whole other rant.

I was looking at some Powertap P1s after reading that DC rainmaker roundup. I didn't pay much attention to non pedal options but if the Quarq setup is easy I could be swayed!
