As I now have all the required access I need - I will be upgrading our version of phpBB to the latest stable release version. This ensures that we are up to date with security fixes and bug fixes. Worry not - you will notice no difference when you are next able to log on.

I'd hope that it'll be done sooner than 2hrs but I need to set your expectations according to the Cluster Fuck potential of the operation - I'll post on Facebook for those that are on there when the job is done.

But you don't have to stay up past your bed time! There are no SLAs, no one will really suffer if there is an outage! A bit of a heads up so we know what is going on - but really, I feel quite mean thinking that you have to really go out of your way to do this! We have a pretty big quorum on facebook for out of band communication if needs be
