For the WAT

Used but in good condition - as cheap as possible please - she needs them for her commute - she's worn down her brake pads to bare metal and destroyed her wheels braking surface.

We've had words... She only asked me " why are my brakes not working properly" upon inspection she has ruined them.

So - what's about ?

Shimano R501 rrp at c. £120 but can usually be found for nearer £75. I doubt that there is another set of wheels that can beat the reliability/durability/serviceability at the RRP, let alone when they are on sale.

R501 are bomb proof. And when they're not, they're easily fixed.

Particularly if you get the round-section spokes rather than the (slightly pointless) bladed spoke version.
