Preferably the 2009 Red/Silver. Possibly a complete/partial bike. Thank you :D

Still have my 51, which has been great, but last year's back injury has really limited my position or rather endurance in optimum position, max about an hour or so before it starts to spasm. I am at the max on spacers, 55mm from the head race to bottom of the stem and my armrests need to come up about 35-40mm for 70.3 distance. Thought about getting a steeper angled stem/swapping out the bars to ones that can pedestal up a bit further but concerned about the effect that might have on handling. Going from a 51 to 54 would result in negligible affect on reach and would give an extra 30mm in stack height.

Actually, come to think of it I shall throw the question out onto the forum to see if anyone pedestals up to 60mm.

You know I can be such an idiot at times. Just got a telling off from a chum, the solution was staring me in the face. I have Vision basebar and extensions and the max on the arm rest height but thye are low profile so that the stack height from the centre line of the base bar to the bottom of the arm rest is 25mm. All I have to do is swap out the extensions to ones which can pedestal up to 60mm and that will give me the extra 35mm I need and open up my hip angle by about 2 - 3 degrees - doh

Guilty as charged  ... what is even more embarrassing is that we spent an afternoon adjusting his set up last year. Bollocks, think I just adopted the BCTTT solution to everything, buy a new bike :D

Changing to a positive angled stem should help too and shouldn't have a huge effect on handling.

You can add stack to the vision aerobats (I think I have some spacers) but remember that'll leave the base bars low which may or may not be what you want for climbing (and or back stretching).

Thanks Ewan, yes I have the spacers but they are at max but even so measured the current stack from centre line of the base bar to bottom of the arm rest and it is only 30mm . I feel a real tool, spent ages going through all the permutations and measurements using Kinovea etc and just didn't occur to change the bars and in fact was going to change the extensions as well - embarrassed - - how do I delete this thread now

The most embarrassing thing is that the blue/silver colour way is much nicer anyway...

He he,
One of us, one of us.
Does that mean a revisit to powerup bike fitting ?
