WANTED - Garmin QR watch strap

Postby Ewan » 03 Sep 2014 13:55

Does anyone have a Garmin QR watch strap for 310/910 etc?

This new variety is considerably superior to this old version, however the type is unimportant to me since I plan to butcher it and then use it to make a GPS mount for Mozzy's collar.

You can obtain the 310xt QR kit on Amazon quite cheaply; it comes without a strap, though, just the parts required to modify a complete watch

I only need the watch-strap portion of the kit and all I can find on ebay are the full kits... Most seem to go for about £20 which is steep for what is essentially just me pissing about not working :-)

Shouldn't this be in Wanted? :? :)

I think I have a 910xt QR strap spare, no pins with it though. Is that any use?

Yes, undoubtedly it should be in the wanted section... until your post I thought it was.

This is the bit I'm after:

In other words, the quarter turn bitty that is part of the strap (not the bit that clips onto the back of the watch... I already have one of those), either with or without the strap and with or without pins :-) If that's what you have then I'd gladly take it off your hands :-)

I'm sure Moz the dog will be very grateful (although she's off running with a limp ATM)!
