Turbo Trainer - Elite Volare Mag Alu

Turbo up for grabs, Elite Volare Mag Alu.

I've used this for Trainer Road, and it seems to have a sensible power curve.

Turbo has a remote adjuster, but tbh I've always left it on max and used my gears to vary intensity. You can put a fair bit of effort into this unit, but out of seat efforts may over-power it depending on your strength.

As an example, my glorious sprint for the line at the end of the Tour of Sufferlandria saw me maxing it out (admittedly on a compact with a big cassette - gear was 34/13) producing 570W at 150rpm and an apparent 82kph.

For your normal, everyday suffering this turbo is fine. I only changed it because I won a Kurt Kinetic in the ToS. 8-)

Any takers at £50?

Yup, another bald, middle-aged inbred idiot from Hayling Island will take it 8-)

Somehow the fact that you had won both an Ipad Air and a fancy turbo had escaped me....

I was simplifying for the sake of saving a few commas. I won an iPad, which I sold to the Bendy Ben Triathlon Equipment Re-selling Agency for exactly the same price as the fancy turbo.

As you pointed out yourself, that means I effectively won the turbo. That was the prize I really wanted, which was awarded to the winner one place lower than me.

I object. I am NOT inbred. In fact, being a Scouser I probably have about three fathers - I'd need to check the dole records to see who was free that day.

Said idiot will have to come and get it! PM me or text me, Kev. :-D

Depends a lot on border control at the Langstone/Havant border crossing point. Should be alright in daylight hours, as long as his papers are in order

Oh, he's a barber and may be able to do something with your hair

That would be great. I've got nearly a dozen of the bastards and I think that means I'm supposed to buy a bottle of runny soap.
