Well done KS, all things considered it's a great result, hope you and bike are both on the road to recovery!

Ouch - hope you are OK!!
Sounds like a really tough day out - well done.
(and yes - know just what you mean about the snot - swimming usually seems to do that to me - top tip: don't clear your nose while riding into a headwind!)

Thank you.

I was most disappointed by the bike leg. The leg out to the route took 7min. The first lap was about 1h 21 including the first 'off' and was feeling v comfy on pace resisting the urge to smash it. Take out the stop and would have been 1h 15 or so.

The 2nd lap took 1h 27, about 10-12mins longer and the leg back including the 2nd 'off' took 8min.

My upper body has always been weak but that has now been analysed by physio and a set of exercises set up to correct my'coping' strategy to compensate for my spondylitis and arthritic shoulders. So fingers crossed.

As requested by Ade pic of medal Image

(and pics of scrapes)

Yes Clare, good advice, unfortunately had no option on that
It seemed like a good idea at the time :? .

Coffee in T1 is absolute genius. I trust it was accompanied by a selection of biscotti.

I don't want to apear ungrateful but that is a pretty piss poor photo of the medal. Athlough nice pics of assorted, damaged, body parts.

Sounds like a very good effort all round.

Well done.

Biscotti sounds good, might try that next time, had a bit of flapjack instead.

Apologies over pic, agree not great.

Better pic here...
