I'll throw my hat into the ring, or even throw my ring into a hat, for that one.

What, seriously, are the chances of us holding a 9-man train together...
I had fun once. It was awful.

Zero. But it'll be hilarious to try.

Well done :D ... although you did leave the most important bit of the report i.e. who had what cake until the end, but there again you did have a pic of the magnificent spread :D

No clusters and early, oh dear ... never mind.

Well done all :D

Re "Length OK but could do with being thicker"
1. No Kevy comment?
2. Obviously talking about a slice of cake
It seemed like a good idea at the time :? .

I'm game for a 9up. Let's just not count on many Midlanderists to show up

9-up? We'd need to plan for 3 teams to make sure we can cobble one together on the day... :-)

Was lots of fun. Have a sneaky feeling a single practice ride would have given us a sub-1hr time - all that surging and waiting killed any rhythm.

Came back home yesterday and fell flat on my face - after 4hrs in the saddle + an hour run on Sat, this was a cherry on the cake. Slept through most of the Glasgow cycling action! :-)

Reading the rule book about the number of required finishers (32h) in a 4up would have had a much bigger influence. :-)

Every 3 men for themselves? :-)

It's always the case I think, finishing time for the team is 3rd in a 4-up, 5th in a 9-up etc., no? So anyone behind the "finish time man" can be dropped.

Most excellent work - and loving the gratuitous cake shot
Sounds like a fun day out - sorry to have missed it.
With my fashion police hat on, you definitely look like the least colour co-ordinated team in the photos - a bit of re-styling, and an earlier realisation of the 'every man for himself' rule, and it could have been a great result - where did you place overall?
