What's the rationale for a new bike? Can't get the position you need on the current one?

Not sure there is a lot of spacer stack under the stem. If CCS wants to get lower then maybe a comparatively lower/longer frame may be on the cards?

The verdict is that we have made some adjustments that have found some more power (which should add some speed next season... and have a MTB forecast of what I should be able to do, which I would like very much) - but the saddle is now as far forward as it can go, and MTB thinks that I need to get further in front of the bottom bracket to open up my hips more, and get some more power....so need to swear off the shoes and handbags; retire to a diet of water and economy baked beans... and actually do some proper training...
Just the sort of day that I needed to get me motivated though!

Easy for you to say from over 500 miles away.

Can't say I share your feelings.

Have you considered a career in motivational speaking ?

... and just in case no one believes that the rumours of Parkrunning are true...

Nice to see that eldest child looks as fond of running as I am...

While I seem to look bizarrely happy at inflicting such torture on others...

Normal service will be resumed when it stops raining... (idle morning drinking coffee when I ought to be at bootcamp)

I see the lady at the front of the picture didn't get the memo about it being an eyes shut run!
