Other than the TTT, we have gone head to head on a 25 TT, to which I had the slight edge, but, Jack was riding a standard road bike. With his new TT it will be different.
We have gone head to head on two tris, and raced on the same course for another.
The swim times have to be adjusted as Jack was competing for the first time and competitive swimming was somewhat new.
Transition times are either included in the times or discounted altogether.
Ilkley, Jacks first Tri I think
Jack swim: 15:43, bike: 36:30, run: 24:10
Jon. swim: 08:56, bike: 35:47, run: 24:00
Transition times included, jack was quicker the bike and run.
The following year was Skipton pool Tri.
Jack swim: 11:09, bike:41:50, run: 21:47
Jon. Swim: 6:52, bike:41:56, run: 23:32
We have both done Rother but on different days, note how quick Jacks swim is now after ow training.
Jack swim: 15:05, bike:51:00, run: 20:42
Jon swim : 13:51, bike 48:17, run 22:04.
So running Jack has the advantage, swimming I have the slight edge, and biking is somewhat similar.
Should be a close one.
Extinction is the rule. Survival is the exception.
