Classic cars, nice, but don't tell SoS, very impressive improvement on the climb, and good to see that you are enjoying riding, and that the Vit disappointment hasn't affected your enthusiasm.

A very good season well done, :D

yeah I was so cold when I got out I couldn't get my wetsuit off and almost gave up. Was in T1 was over 8 mins and went out on bike hardly able to moved my fingers. Course was lovely though. You'd smash the bike course. And the run was nice.

I think we got really cold standing around before the off. The swim was cold but I don't remember it being THAT cold. I'm sure I did a race report!

And yeah, you'd destroy the bike course. Do it...

Think you're right Scibby. It was really cold standing around before the start.

Yep do it Clare. It's a great event.

Will be interesting to see how you get on. Weather not looking that good though :(

You obviously read a different forecast to me - Accuweather (OK, known for being rubbish, but stunningly accurate last time about the howling wind/tipping rain) suggests dry by the afternoon and not too windy. Much less threatening start list this time (what is LTS? Have beaten a few of those with a better LTS than me on this course) - though that said, feeling a bit fat & lazy, and pissed off after yesterday's bike debacle...
I do however have a new secret weapon to road test... ;)

Hmmm... still pondering Hever (have always quite liked the idea of doing it). Not feeling motivated enough at the moment - perhaps time to hibernate and contemplate rebuilding for next season... will leave it a bit and see...

P.S. a few general observations:

- Whilst £20 in my saddle pack might prove sufficient for emergency cake/bacon butty purchase, it is woefully inadequate as an emergency taxi fund
- should travel with a credit card in future
- mobile phone reception in Surrey isn't quite as good as I hoped (though only when it is really needed)
- setting off alone on a magical mystery tour in the vague hope of seeing a sign to somewhere I recognise probably isn't a good plan
- it's lucky I have quite a selection of spare bikes / wheels
