first exercise back home started with a morning swim, really chuffed no swimming for 5 weeks and without meaning to did the HIM swim in 44 mins wasn't even particularly tired after and that is the same time as it normally takes me to swim 1500m. Really pleased the training technique session must have finally sunk it a bit.

Roll on to saturday for the proper test - the cycle

Back from Les stables which has really pushed on my training a bit and for the first time in month feel like I might just just be able to make it around.
Still miles off where I should have been but there we go. Legs are knackered but this is the last week of training before slowing down and full recovery before the drive to austria.

carb loading now what will be will be. Still well behind where i'd like to have been and it will be hit and miss on the cycle to make the cut off but leaving tomorrow late evening for the drive to Austria. Don't think I can make it up the large hill with the new bike so taking the old faithful which i've just had to rebuild to get the blasted gears to work properly after having it fixed at a shop (the LBS not bridgtown!).

Absolutely shitting myself

Brilliant :D enjoy it. You will love it, sort of.

Can't wait to hear all about it.
