Wannabetri's IMAZ training log

Hello,
Going to start and track my training on here. None of you will be interested really, but I hope it's enough to achieve three goals:
- Get me round IMAZ in sub 11 hours
- Make Chappers think I might actually be able to beat him, even though I can't.
- Make CH think about doing some training, I don't think he'll do any but as long as the thought is there. ;)
So let's start tracking.

Monday 18th July

Workout 1 - Wattbike
10 minute warm-up. Level 2 - 90rpm, 180watts
40 minutes HR/Power Zones 1 -2, equivalent to 114 - 132 HR, 181 to 122watts
5 minute cool-down. Level 2 - 90 rpm, 180 watts
27/05 Nuffield OD; 09/06 Manc 50m TT; 10/06 Barton Marina OD; 30/06 Manc 50m TT; 01/07 Outlaw IM Swim; 14/07 - 3km OW Marlow; 15/07 Marlow OD; AG LD World Champs 29/07; Club relays 25+26/08;

Tuesday 19th July

Workout 1 - Swim (pool)
Warm-up: 1 x 400m FC, steady pace. 2 x 150m Drills as 50m - Finger Drag, 50m Catch-Up, 50m Thigh touch
Main: 10 x 100m off 2:00mins. Swimming at about 1:35 to 1:40 per 100m
Cool-down: 1 x 200m Mixed as 50m Breaststroke, 50m Backstroke, 100m FC

Workout 2 - Run (treadmill)
Warm-up: 0.5km at 8.5kph, 0.5km at 9.5kph, 0.5km at 10.kph. 1% Gradient
Main: 3 x 1.6km at 12.9kph with 0.1km walk recovery at 6kph. 1% Gradient
Cool-down: 0.5km at 9.5kph, 0.5km at 8.5kph, 0.2km at 6kph. 1% Gradient

Wednesday 20th July

Workout 1 - Bike (road)
Warm-up: 15 mins as Low gear, cadence work
Main: 3 x 20 minutes as 4 x 3 minutes big gear / hard : 2 minutes cadence /easy
Cool-down: 15 mins easy

Workout 2 - Swim (Open Air Lido)
Warm-up: 90m
Main: 4 x 90m Max
Cool-Down: 90m

The swim was an 'international' relay event for my work so was just a short smash-up. I wouldn't normally do such a short swim session!

Well, you're whipping my a$$ atm, runners knee for me :-( .. why did I neglect the foam roller for so long?! cap'n jack isn't going to be happy

I've got to re introduce myself to Mr Foam Roller too. ITB are beginning to feel it. So that and weekly amssage is coming my way. We did win the relay race. Although the crap weather contributed to some of the better teams not showing. A win is a win though!

Thursday 21st July

Workout 1 - Run (Treadmill)
Warm-Up: 3km @ 10.1 kph, 1% Gradient
Main: 3km @ 12.1kph, 1% Gradient + 3km @ 10.1 kph, 1% Gradient
Cool-Down: 5 minutes walking

Friday 22nd July

Workout 1 - Bike (Exercise_ while watching T de F
Warm-up: 5 mins, HR increasing up to 125bpm
Main: 50 mins, HR 130
Cool-down: 5 mins easy

Not you, Chappers. He needs to be fit, strong and fast come august bank holiday. While you need to be thinking of your knee and eating lots of doughnuts and drinking beer to get your strength back.
