So, binned the ride in favour of a run. The plan was to go for the hour mark which would've been around 9km. All going well, until I realised that I had gone past the 6km mark and forgotten to turn back. So it turned into a 12km / 80min run. Felt OK, most of the time. Apart from the halfway point when I realised I had gone too far and felt a bit drained. Got a second wind after km 8 or so though. There were a couple of moments where I was feeling really good and going at around 5.30min / km. but it didn't last long. However, I think it's the first time I've run over an hour for a very very long time. so pleased with that.

Lots to work on though...

Ride tomorrow!!!

So i finally went for a ride. This is my SECOND, outdoor ride from home since moving to Surrey 18 months ago! all went well. The plan was to go ride to Boxhill and back. Simples. And in fact it was. One straight road all the way - even I couldn't get lost. It's a fair bit more lumpy on the bike than it is in the car, surprise, surprise. But I actually enjoyed it. Bumped into Kevy too sporting his BCTTT top, very well done!

Anyhoo. nearly 3 hours and just short of 60km. Not impressive speed but exactly what I wanted.

And so someone I managed to string together an 8 hour week. Again for the first time in 18 months. Am pretty sure its won't last as next week is littered with job hunt shite and Elsa seems to have picked up a vomitting bug... But we'll see...

PS BAT asked me what I wanted to do for Mother's day next sunday. Special 1st one and all that. "Long bike" wasn't the answer he was looking for!

One who doesn't, will find an excuse.

Am pretty sure it (ie 8 hr training week) won't last as next week is littered with job hunt shite and Elsa seems to have picked up a vomitting bug... But we'll see...

The good news - I now weigh 57.3kg. which is about 1 kg off from my 'normal' pre-pregnancy weight
The bad news - the weightloss is almost certainly brought on by being pointlessly starved and dehydrated while on a visit to a&e and various other wards.
The very bad news - training hours this week = 0. Foreseeable hours = 0
The shitty news - they still don't know what's wrong with me. Might be kidney stones, might be kidney infection, might be something else.

Which is a real pain when you've got a baby in tow...

The final chapter

I hate this blog. I really hate that it's full of false starts, impossible targets and excuses. I don't like the person writing it. So I'm gonna sack it off and start a new one.

Just to round up. My sickness problems have gone away. The conclusion is that it was kidney stones and a big deal of hypochondria and I'm fine now. To be fair, my dad went from being fit and healthy (aged 50 or so) to end-stage kidney failure in about 5 years so am a bit obsessive about that... Anyway, i'm in the system now and due to have another kidney function test after easter to check all in order...

So that it - over and out on this one.

Check out my new blog - it'll be great. I won't fail again...
