Excellent swim drills session on Saturday - felt well and truly beasted.... Lane swimming - I WAS IN THE FAST LANE - Woop Woop Woop!!!!!
For the first time in my life, ever! And no, I wasn't holding people up :D
Century ride yesterday - my word it was hard!
Getting lost didn't help either. Asked for directions to the Bridlington road and got sent the wrong way by 8 miles (bastard)...If I hadn't asked for directions and had gone half a mile further up the road I was on, I'd have been on the right road!!!!!
Felt hard after the first 35 miles - that was when the hills started, followed by wind which seemed to follow me (but never seemed to be with me!)...
Had quite a few bad thoughts, but told myself to MTFU and get on with it. Biggest problem was the knees - they're just very unhappy at the moment...
Anyway - another century in the bag! YAY!
Four weeks left. I'm excited and shitting myself at the same time.
Supposed to be recovery week this week.
Then 3 weeks left, but not sure exactly what to do with them. Haven't run for a month now......Really should get a couple in (but I'm wondering what the point is when I'll be walking most of the marathon!)...
Decisions, decisions.....
Wondering whether to get a new wetsuit.
Still don't know what I'm going to wear for the bike/run.....
I've done DNF. I've done DNS.
The future is DNE :D

No training to speak of this week. The world has got in the way. o/water swim Weds, followed by ripping my big toe apart and cramping my left calf - stil hurting now...
Ah well.
3 weeks left and trying to figure out what the hell to do with myself.
Getting so much closer and I'm feeling the pressure more....
But no one said it was going to be easy!

New B70 Axis arrived yesterday - too scared to put it on - it looks tiny!
Hopefully it'll help things - will try it out tonight - need to have a bimble in it before the relays...
Went to Bridgtown yesterday - awesome, as ever....
After an initial conversation with Mike it turns out what we'd thought was an 11-28 on the back was, in fact, a 12-25...
A very pleasant surprise, I must say - and explains a lot! So we've swapped it to an 11-28.
I've already done the full course on the original cassette, so the new one should take the edge of th hills a bit! woo hoo!!
New chain, new brake pads and a handle bar riser thingy that has now put me in the least aero position on the planet - but I'm no longer in pain :D
Going to take the beast out for a ride today - not sure how far to go, cos of o/w tonight - and it depends what time Amy gets up!
Hopefully will get at least 80 miles in.
It'll be interesting to see how the changes affect my riding.
And thanks to Jay, I now know how to clean/lube a chain and change an inner tube - good times :D

Bike was chronic on Tuesday - It felt so good in the first hour that I went off like a rocket - too much too soon! Valuable lesson learned on pacing.
Only prblem is I know I've done nothing - with only 2 weeks to go.
And I seem to be porking up rather badly.
And family stuff sucks and is distracting me from the task in hand.
Things can only get better.....

Does that mean you are ready for a bike ride now then?

It did go well :D. It that you tested yourself to destruction. Always good to find the edge, fall off, but somehow manage to cling back on. I am sure you have lots of memories.

Now you have two threads with the same title, I was thinking of merging them :D
