Streaking

2014 has been a mixed year in Tri terms. Cycling has been great (for me), having completed London to Paris and a few sportives without issue but the swimming and running has suffered due to a huge lack of training. I have a couple of ideas, however; one of these is streaking (easy, Kev) - that is running at least one mile every day. I'm five days in so far and it's slowly getting easier.

Ok, just had to google that. Interesting... I've considered it for 0.5 seconds...

You can see from my training record that I have been flirting with it since the summer.... To paraphrase mark twain, running 1 mile every day is so easy, I've done it loads of times.

It's more the logistics of getting changed/getting childcare etc. having said that, on my second consideration I thought I could prob spare 10min before or after UBAT work. Even if it's dark and miserable. Will see. Toying with options. No idea what training to do. But have to do something as currently ballooning. And everything hurts through lack of activity...

I like it.

I did something similar last year lots of very short runs, rather than 3 longer distance runs a week. It gave me a good base for the year, until I caught Typhoid.

I will be doing the same this year.

Typhoid is definitely worth returning to as part of a training regime.

Think of the winter weight loss possibilities.

Did try this, but caused a domestic. Had got a good series of runs going but then Having been in bed most of the day with a hangover and obviously not done my share of Xmas prep jobs, raising from my bed lazarusesque and suggesting I go for a quick run is justification for being called a selfish ?"#t. Never will understand them.

30 days and no injuries, takes a bit of careful management of odd niggles.
