An imaginative title for yet another Scibby training log...

Right. Waaaay behind on this. Need to keep up to date just in case i ever need to start from scratch again! Haha...

So finishing off week 3.

SUN 11. Farnham 45 miler... Hard hard. Windy and almost bailed and did the short course. But luckily found some guys who let me ride with them. And got round. Was all good till say 35miles. The last bit was torture. Super uncomfortable on bike but have some short term cheap fixes to improve this.

WEEK 4. Wc 12 May

MON. Rest. Achey back and neck
TUE. SWIM, can't remember details. Run canx as had to pick up lo early from nursery cos of some phantom rash
WED. Rest?
THU. run, hilly 6.2km in 42 min
FRI.-SUN. Nothing. Alone with kids. Could've done turbo but had no motivation call it a back off week...

Week 5. WC 19 May

Testing week

MON. Run hilly 3.76km in 24:30. Plus hill repeats x3. Pleased with this when I started 5 weeks ago this was 29 min
TUE. 400m - 8:05. 200m - 3:55. 100m - 1:47. It's ok. Fitness is holding me back. But best ever 400m was 7:something. (20 or 30 I believe) so considering it's ok...

Then attempted FTP test. Marginal increase to 145 (from 140) but a little more weight loss sees me now at 2.73... Not happy with this attempt. Was feeling tired. Will try again soon.

WED. Rest.

You are supposed to do the FTP test in a rested/recovered state!

I think this is why I did so well at the Tour of Sufferlandria earlier this year. The first stage was the 'Rubber Glove' FTP test, but I was under pressure from the AndyB Winter HM challenge...

... so I ran a steady 2 hour HM in the morning and did the first stage in the afternoon. FTP dropped from 227W to 218W as a result.
I had fun once. It was awful.

Week 6. Wc 26 MAY

MON. Hermit. 55 min. Too much food. Uncomfortable throughout.
TUE. Swim 2km. Lots of drills

Run 8 km of which the last 3km were 'fast'. 16.30. So pleased with that for the time being

WED - FRI. No training as alone with kids and knackered.

SAT. Run 6.5km hilly route in 40 min. Pleased with that. Average speed on these hilly trail runs has dropped quite quickly from 6:50 ish to 6:10ish in a couple of weeks

SUN. CAKE!

Have quickly totted up my total training time (low-tech)

Week - Hrs
1 -> 5
2 -> 5
3 -> 8 of which farnham cycle was 4
4 -> 1.75
5 -> 4.5
6 -> 3.5

So clearly losing focus. Life has been getting in the way. But I've also relaxed since I downgraded to the sprint at Windsor. I need to get better especially at completing sessions on the weekend...
